Sound of sea

For this painting, I was working on the stones as well as the sea. Since I've only made serein water, I've wanted to test waves.

I may have cheated a little by putting too much white when I should have worked on the light and put more shadows to give them more dimension.
But since it's my first try, I'm happy with the water result. I will keep playing with it until I better understand the texture.

Not so happy with the rocks. Even if I've tried to shadows them, I was not able to come up with a more tri-dimensional aspect. They seem flat and unrealistic but the whole scene is not so bad.

Still a lot to learn! ;-D
