Sound of sea

For this painting, I was working on the stones as well as the sea. Since I've only made serein water, I've wanted to test waves.

I may have cheated a little by putting too much white when I should have worked on the light and put more shadows to give them more dimension.
But since it's my first try, I'm happy with the water result. I will keep playing with it until I better understand the texture.

Not so happy with the rocks. Even if I've tried to shadows them, I was not able to come up with a more tri-dimensional aspect. They seem flat and unrealistic but the whole scene is not so bad.

Still a lot to learn! ;-D

Orange Daisy

If a white daisy usually means innocence and purity, an orange one is related to friendship, kindness, sunshine and happiness.

Guess it's a good interpretation, as I was just trying to paint something cheerful and orange was my color of choice.
Still need to learn to put more dimension into the flower. :-D

Coming home

"Every trip is the dream of a new birth."
Jean Royer

On my quest to master clouds and water…
It's a long road as i don't know how to recreate the puffy cotton aspect of clouds…

Even when I try working on the light and the shadow, it look like just applying a new layer of color. Sigh! But I will not give up!
Lol!

I'm really having fun with watercolor even if it can be frustrating sometimes!

Calming Blue

I'm trying to work on sea, water and texture.

It seems that it's not an element I'm comfortable with! :-)

So I will have to work more and paint different landscape to come up with what I'm looking for…
Strange but from afar, it's look better ! ;-)

Tropical View

I was trying to reflect the sunrise in the sea and I've ended up with my water looking like sand… :-D

In fact, the landscape was too calm after doing the top. So I've decided to add water as I need to work and the waves movement and texture… Without adding blue, it was hard for me to go where I wanted to.
But I like the final result.

Lost in Flamenco

Just because sometimes I need to express myself.
This one was made on an impulse. Like if the emotions were coming out of me.
Impulsivity, anger, frustration, inner strength, passion, silencing the demons, forgetting about you, dancing with abandon, raw beauty.
